Its' truly shocking.. A brutal accident in which Toyota Premio- Registration No KDL 566F car crashed into a large tree, finished the journey of Kelvin forever.
Kelvin was driving the car. Prima facie, the car hit on a large tree as it was veered off the road into a ditch.. Kelvin , his trainer Gervis Hakizimana lost lives on the spot.
People started to know about Kiptum based on his catchy performances in Half Marathons. He became popular in his 1st Marathon in Valencia, Spain. His winning timing was 2:01:53
During his 2nd Marathon, he became the 2nd fastest in the History when he made it in 2:01:25. Short of world record by only 16 seconds.
On 8 Oct 2023 at Chicago, then 23 years, Kiptum became the record holder by finishing off the Marathon in all time fastest time of 2:00:35. Believe it or not, it was only his 3rd Marathon.
